Rachelle obtained her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the College of Natural Science at Michigan State University followed by a Masters in Business Administration, also from Michigan State University. She began working as a medical technologist in the hematology department in 2000 and obtained her Medical Laboratory Scientist certification from ASCP in 2004. In 2005 she became a laboratory supervisor and transitioned into the role of laboratory manager in 2013.
